One Metre

The International One Metre (IOM) is popular class, boats are limited to 1m in length and are subject to 'closed rules' - i.e. if the rules don't mention something then it's not allowed. Boats are subject to a minimum weight (4Kg) and a one design rig. Materials used through out are also restricted. These rules keep prices down and make it a perfect entry level class and most clubs have a strong One Metre fleet.
